Tail wagging here for Aus - 315/8 looked ok but 369/9 looks more difficult for Ind

Can't see India winning from here. Australia did well to turn it around, but India need some very significant middle order runs now once again. If I were then I'd keep one eye on the draw and just dig in and bat time. Taking 1-1 with half a C team playing would be far more significant for them.

Having said that, looking a the weather report it seems the rain is favourite to win. While some differences depending on where you look, all indicate day 4/5 will be wet. 80 percent chance of thunderstorms on day 5, day 4 is 60 percent. One Brisbane paper is saying a chance of a cyclone, althougj not mirrored in any forecasts.

BBC weather, which I find more accurate than others here in Brussels, basically shows rain all the way overnight to the start of day 3 ( so never going to start on time)...rain later in the afternoon, and then only one dry non rain hour for 72 hours.

Unless Australia ravage India tomorrow and set a follow on, draw must be a certain

I think India would quite happily take that given we have half the C team playing and are also a man down

Terrific days play again . India's top order all getting started and none going on...at 187/6 Australia had one hand on the cup...

Then the two new boys produced a magnificent century stand ! For a late substitute "bits and pieces all rounder " Washington and a net bowler in Thakur to do that says a lot for the spirit in this Indian side

Australia what , 57 ahead , two days (less possible rain) left...interesting tactical decisions ahead , perhaps.

Yes, it looked all over after Rahane and Agarwal both played awful shots to get out and then Pant went. Huge credit to Shardul and Wash - both of them would probably have just about suqeezed into the 3rd team before this series and all the injuries!

Ind overall ahve stood up much better than could have been expected but still a couple more days to hang in there - although as Sussex says the weather forecast looks iffy so it could well be a draw

No rain around at the moment. We should see some play today. I don't think we're going to get two days of absolute washout. But it seems unlikely there will be enough to allow Australia to force a result. That partnership between Sundar and Shardul looks to have probably secured the draw and the destination of the trophy.

Given everything India's been up against, a drawn series away in Australia is an exceptional achievement.

2 edges flying through a packed slip cordon for 4, and a few play and misses but Aus have added 18 in the first 3 overs - Ind will be hoping something goes to hand soon
