Presume he's not tailing off, or pasting associate nations then.

40 percent are against India. A series v SA, Australia and SL for a couple. So no, majority against top nations.

As for tailing off - average 48, 43 since 2020 by year. SR near 150. So no tailing off (11 matches).

Most notable, again which underlines the point about batting as long as possible - he has 50s in 43% of innings as an opener, which is staggering. Only Malan's career rate gets near that.

He has 4 in another 60 games as non opener. TO me conclusive proof the best way to use him is to open

Good start for England but the events of the last game don't inspire confidence.

Nive to see JB2 gave Mo a bowl. Decent econ too.

Is Hales really so irretrievably enmeshed in recreational drugs that he can't fill in for the top three when needed. Stokes doesn't seem a great fit at three.

Ton for JB1. England are going to have to do very badly to blow this.

England scored freely off Kuldeep and Krunal in this series.

Hundred partnership in 15 overs in the middle overs is a good effort. Fifty for Gentle Ben.

Doesn't get much more comprehensive than that. FInd it hard to remember ODIs, but can't have been many better wins for England v India in India than that. LL adding a veneer of gloss at the end.

Obviously fitted in well there today! But long term Root will bat there and Stokes will again bat at 5-6.
