I never thought I would say this, but I'd take out Perry for Sciver
then I'd swap King for Ecclestone and Ismail for Brown
and I'd leave Gardner's slot for Kapp and Mathews to fight over
and I never thought I'd say this either, but no place for Devine
Fair, dfm. I nearly listed the Australian team as a whole, and you could certainly argue Mooney ahead of Kaur but I opted for diversity. That said, Australia won on the strength of their top order batting - their lower-middle order didn't do that much because they didn't need to, and few of their bowlers, especially the quicks (in a spinner-friendly tournsment) really stood our compared to the best performers from other teams.
I wouldn't have King, she bowled tidily enough but her figures were massaged by 3 fairly facile wickets against an England lower order that were trying to hit 8+ an over. That said, I have been impressed with her so far, reckon she's a great prospect. I recall Warne clearly rated her when commentating on the women's ashes just before he died.
