Hundred stand for Jonny and Jamie...

One might say England needed that :)

Has anyone else hit two consecutive tons with a strike rate of over 100 in each innings?

The crazy thing is , even with this collapse , England have still scored at five per over...

It's cricket , Jim , but not as we know it :)

Overton on to 70 and the 200 is up :salute

Though if they had one, he'd be injured by now.

Well played YJB. He's scored four test tons in 13 innings in 2022, and 8 of the other nine failed to make 30.

Partnership has set a few records now. Highest ever 7th wicket partnership for England at home, second highest 7th wicket for England ever, second highest 7th wicket in England ever, and first 150 partnership for the 7th wicket in test history where the sixth wicket fell for 55 runs or less.

Despite that, England still a long way behind. But they are in the game again.

That new ball looks a long way off.

Overton going to do a Stuart Broad down the order.

200 stand now ...

Still four wickets in hand , just 68 behind now. And thirty plus overs until the next new ball : I'd say England are getting back into this contest...

Highest ever 7th wicket stand made in England.

Only the 19th ever double century 7th wicket stand.

Another remarkable day of Test Cricket. Think they are short about 11 overs on the day but I don't see any spectators complaining :)

This series just keeps on giving...

Well..... I wasn't expecting that when I watched the highlights

YJB and Jamie O take a bow

It started tanking it down here in CLS at around 6pm, so I think I just assumed that play had probably finished between 5 and 5.30 at Headingley, but not a bit of it

Someone mentioned Mitchells charmed life this series, but YJB can't be far behind him. It's what you do with the breaks, I suppose

Out of curiosity is there a reason why NZ suddenly decided to try and bounce these two out? Were they not paying attention when England were failing miserably with the same tactic earlier in the day? Very odd

still.... England get away with the kamikaze approach again. One day it isn't going to work and they'll just look silly.

I thought Boult was terrific in his first spell. Bowling of the very highest quality

Has there been an England bowler who has scored a hundred on debut?

First time I've watched JO bat and bowl. I was more impressed with his batting than his bowling tbh. I could see England giving him a run in the side just for his batting at 8.

The highlights over the last 2 nights have barely featured Potts, presumably because he hasn't taken either a shedload of wickets or conceded any boundaries. How well has he bowled in the role of opening bowler? He's certainly been miserly, has he looked threatening? He appears to have been a bit unlucky with lbw decisions and dropped catches and I'm guessing he didn't get sucked into the bang it in short stuff, or he would have gone for many more runs
