Yes you get the new ball but what end depends on Stokes. Anderson was lucky to get the Pavilion End this time but had to bowl at the Nursery End for his last spell in cricket.

Well Pennington is now injured after bowling 5 balls for the Northern Superchargers. Had he got a go in the Tests would he have lasted a bit longer? I'm very disappointed in not having a tall fast bowler in the squad.

Woakes, Atkinson, Wood, Stokes, Potts and Stone are all roughly the same height. From 5'11 to 6'2. Feel like there will be no change to the bowling attack. Maybe Wood will be rested after the 2nd Test for Stone who is fastish 90mph.

There was an article in the Cricketer by Mike Selvey talking about Anderson and the ends at Lords and how he was glad Atkinson had to finish his over at the Pavilion End which meant Anderson had to bowl from the Nursery End. I miss Anderson so much that I have to play the first video to get my fix of him bowling. That was before he got 16-3-35-7 v Notts.
