Outrageous! How dare those students turn up to Headingley hungover after a night out in Trios and make a mockery of the most successful County Cricket club in history :angry

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Good side Leeds/Bradford are, only lost to Surrey by 2 runs in an earlier First Class match. I actually hope the students win so the Yorkshire players can be brought down to earth with a bump after making noises in pre-season:

Yorkshire will NOT instantly return to Division One
Yorkshire players are NOT in a good place
There is NO feelgood factor

It's the same old from last year, a team devoid of motivation and ideas. A team still resting on laurels after coming close to winning the County Championship in 2010.

It's Sussex 3rd XI by the looks of it.

Good job this game isn't first class.

After noticing James Lee coming back to Headingley and making a point to prove against Yorkshire (should not have released him), I've looked at the Leeds/Bradford MCCU side in more detail. A team consisting of players who have represented or currently representing counties at Academy/2nd XI/Unicorns.

Looking at other matches, Glamorgan v Cardiff MCCU is essentially Glamorgan 1st XI v Glamorgan 2nd XI with a few invites from junior pros at other county cricket clubs.

Durham MCCU team resembles anything of a university side, 4 players who were on the books at County Cricket academies or 2nd XI (Chris Jones, Ris Shah, Oli Steele, Freddie Van Den Bergh) Nat Watkins an Oxfordshire player and Chaitanya Bishoni, assuming he's an overseas student a Delhi academy player.
