MATCH 5:

Back to losing ways :( I have no idea what has gone wrong this season :(

LOST BY 7 WICKETS

1.A.Nuttall
2.I.Barstable
3.T.Hunt
4.N.Maynard (wk)
5.G.Jackson
6.C.Easter
7.R.Mendis (overseas)
8.CAPTAIN CF (C)
9.J.Long
10.P.Terry
11.H.Connor

Just the one change this week. Needed an anchor at the top, so left out G.Hope and brought in A.Nuttall, who had hit back to back 50's in the team below and hoped he would provide some stablity at the top of the order.

I lost the toss and we were put into bat. We were bowled out for 209 after 49 overs. Nuttall only lasted one over before falling for a duck. Barstable top scored with 76, with some lovely drives and cuts and runs flowed off of his bat, the oerseas Mendis contributed with 41 and Easter made 21, but everyone else struggled. Mendis moved up to 5, and Easter dropped to 8 as i came up to 7, but i failed only making 8. 209 was a score to defend but we were awful with the ball

They chased it down only 3 wickets down with 8 overs to spare. We bowled an astonishing 16 wides! I took the new ball and sprayed it around. Im in awful form! I bowled 6 overs 1-49 and didnt bowl again. Long also opened, but we were dealt a huge blow when he had to go off injured after 5 overs and we were a bowler down. Me and him both got an early wicket. The only other wicket went to Mendis who took 1-47 from 9 overs. Yet again we struggled!

MATCH 7

WON BY 4 WICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1.A.Nuttall
2.I.Barstable
3.T.Hunt
4.N.Maynard (wk)
5.G.Jackson
6.C.Easter
7.R.Mendis (overseas)
8.CAPTAIN CF (C)
9.J.Long
10.P.Terry
11.H.Connor

Same team, and we badly needed a win!! Which is what we got, we nearly messed it up, but we got home!

TOSS: I won the toss and a green very damp wicket, humid day and overcast, and no suprise i chose to field first....

Im struggling with a side strain so i was hoping not to do a lot of bowling, and luckily i had to do none! We skittled the opposition for 75 inside 30 overs! J.Long picked up 5-16 from 7 overs. P.Terry picked up 2 wickets, and H.Connor picked up two wickets.

In the chase, the sun came out and started to dry the pitch out, and it started to turn. We lost early wickets and at one stage was 20-5, however I went up the order and dropped Easter to no8, me and Mendis got the side to within 25 for victory and then i was bowled for 19. Easter and Mendis saw the side home, 6 down, and we recorded a much needed win on a tricky wicket!

won by 4 wickets :D
