hence why even though it kills me to do it, im stepping back from it for the time being...i might still net from time to time, but at the moment ive told the club im not avaliable for selection.

Maybe a sabbatical from the captaincy will do you a world of good CF. Pursue some other interests, do a bit of travelling if you can, anything that rediscovers yourself.

Captaincy is one thankless task. So much time preparing, organising, thinking in the run up to a game and having ten players needs to consider before your own. It's hardly surprising where your energy, form and enthusiasm gradually fades away.
