There has been overnight rain, and the outfield isnt in a ideal state...

however im hoping for no more rain and thus a 1:00pm start is realistic....however i really hope my side isnt batting first today!

2ND LEAGUE GAME OF THE SEASON TODAY :D

game is delayed due to a wet outfield

2:00pm start

game will be a 45 over a side due to the delay..

toss has been done i won the toss and chose to bowl on a green pitch and overcast skies...

here is the side i have gone in with

1.G.Powell
2.J.Jackson
3.G.Hope
4.I.Barstable
5.G.Jackson
6.C.Easter
7.CAPTAIN CF (C)
8.N.Maynard (wk)
9.J.Long
10.S.Mckenzie
11.P.Terry

G.Powell comes in for the injured Hunt...Real shame that but he busted an ankle midweek training and isnt fit to play, so Powell comes up from the 2nd team, hopefully he plays well. Connor also misses out this week, as i have gone for a swing bowler over someone with genuine pace for this game...

so 2 changes 2:00pm start will be bowling first, hopefully rain stays away, and we can complete this league game and hopefully with a win :)

We had team meetings for tours out of Mumbai. For local matches against clubs the team tactics were discussed after the nets, sitting near roadside joint in spoiled whites, sipping a glass of tea, with bicycles parked nearby. No separate gathering for a meeting. The tea shop owner offered us monthly credit. No credit cards required though. Prior to the day of club matches we used to call each other whether the cricketing gear was ready.

GAME OVER :D

A comphrensive 8 wicket win for my side :) Really proud of how my top order chased them runs down on a tricky wicket!

This was the side

i won the toss and chose to bowl on a green pitch and overcast skies...

here is the side i have gone in with

1.G.Powell
2.J.Jackson
3.G.Hope
4.I.Barstable
5.G.Jackson
6.C.Easter
7.CAPTAIN CF (C)
8.N.Maynard (wk)
9.J.Long
10.S.Mckenzie
11.P.Terry

Game was delayed until 2:00pm due to wet outfield, however we didnt much time today to win the game, straightforward win. I won the toss and inserted the oppostion on a green pitch with grey skies.....

I took the new ball alongside Terry.....I bowled 5 overs in my first spell, taking 1-14. Terry took 2 wickets in his opening 3 overs, the pace being too much for their batsman.....After 15 overs they were 77-4. I continued to make changes i only used seamers today, and after 24 overs we had managed to bowl them out for 140. I myself finished with 3-44 from 8 overs. Unhappy to go at over 5 an over, but 3 wickets was what counted...

In the chase, i told the boys to be sensible and hit the bad ball.....we didnt wanna throw away what should have been a routine victory. However after the first 5 overs, we already had 25 on the board...They bowled short and wide and wasnt exploiting perfect bowling conditions.....The run rate was good all the way through. We didnt lose a wicket until the 11th over, Jackson fell for 24. Altogther we only lost 2 wickets, and chased it down with 16 overs left.

Routine victory which means after 2 league games we are unbeaten ;)

im a happy captain tonight :D
