Something that I used to do on my, now defunct, Twitter page.

Not so much a blog as just my choice as to who is top of the class in the world of cricket that day and a brief reason why.

you don't say why, though.... even though you are absolutely correct

for me it was the effortless way that he scored his runs. There didn't seem to be any bludgeoning going on.... just good footwork, deft touches, great timing, excellent shot selection. A joyous thing, when it's done well, and far more satisfying to me than a bit of bish, bash, bosh (thrilling though that can sometimes be)

I will when it's less obvious.

Was only him or Dawid Malan in running yesterday.

Liam Livingstone who added two wickets to his 129 against a South Africa A team.

Not Amla?

Livingstone is having a breakthrough season, I think

I always have a bit of a soft spot for those who contribute with both bat and ball.

TBH Tahir had more of a shot than Amla did for me.

Wouldn't be so sure DFM!

On a day where there was only brief outbreaks of County Cricket and an abandoned Champions Trophy game it was Paul Coughlin who stood out for me. His four wickets today completed his first 10-wicket match haul despite the loss to Northamptonshire.
