You'll be pleased, Arthur, The first article has appeared in the local rag bringing up the idea of Johnson coming back into the test team.

Ha! Just as well i know you're joking...

Botham has said 5-0. He's got over 350 Test wickets and knows the game inside out.

And Hilfenhaus?

going on 'Australia's got Talent' with a sealion and a king sized mars bar, so won't be available for selection. Lehmann, upon hearing of this, was overheard to say that he hoped the sealion would "cry like a girl, on live television"

It gives him plenty of time to get waxed ready for Brisbane.

Although a month isn't enough time for Hilfenhaus to be waxed in time for Brisbane.

Hilfy's not injured, he's been playing in the one day comp for Tassie. Two games running last week (strangely enough, both against the Sozzies) Hilfy hit a four from the 2nd last (I can't spell penultimate) ball to snatch come from behind wins.

He's now due for a recall to the test team, batting at 6.

Ponting thinks that Hughes and Warner should be picked in a top six that should be retained for the whole series. So that's no Bailey, unless Clarke is out.

That would suit Swann, the more left-handers the better.

Australia would be crazy to ignore Bailey. The guy has shown maturity, ice cold mentality under pressure, has cemented a crumbling team together, and proved that he can exceed his domestic performance when offered a chance to step up.

If Aussies dont pick him then it shows that the selectors are not doing much more than working their way down the averages list.

Is Robert Quniey really more deserving? Was Rodgers a long term pick for those complaining about Bailey's age? Can he bat worse than Hughes or Cowan?

I just noticed that Smith's innings at Edgbaston 2008 was included in a new book on the greatest 100 Test innings, Sussex. Maybe someone is doing a worse job somewhere than your builders.
