It's your only Test hundred, so a tough choice to make.

For me there is an extra frisson about succeeding in foreign conditions. For my Mumbai ton, I want 100 degree heat and crumbling pitch. I'll have a pot of tea brought out for my drinks, like Brian Close, and bat in a cap. No jumping about at the hundred. Just a touch of the peak, and present the face of the bat to all four corners. I might grow a moustache for the occasion.

Lords or maybe Melbourne on Boxng day.

I know Lord's is the ground in the world perhaps most steeped in tradition and history. And has the best food. But it is a little disappointing. I've only been once though, maybe it gains charm through exposure.

A ton at Lord's would be best made under clouds with the ball darting around, the pitch a little damp. Maybe against Glenn McGrath.

I'm with DF on this one. Adelaide before redevelopment.

I had a bit of coaching at Lords and got to see a little bit of county cricket to boot. I loved it there.

I agree with others about Adelaide. A once beautiful ground.

Adelaide always had the reputation of being the most beautiful Aussie ground, before they changed it... I think that's the ground with the listed scoreboard?

Any famous contemporaries, you trained with Robert?

Don't know. It was only for three consecutive Sunday morning's and me and the other two boys from our club didn't get to mingle. One thing is fo sure, 99% were better than me

Talking of Aussie grounds. Love watching the Cricket at Tasmania, when they show the ocean in the back ground. Makes me want to emigrate.

Yes, beats red buses going down the Warwick Road.

Everyone has thought of emigrating to Australia at some time I guess. I'm not sure I could do all the optimism and the 'can do' attitude though. The frustrating negativity and stifling, inhibiting irony of the UK is too snug a fit.

On a difficult wicket. Something like the Mumbai pitch in 2004 or Jamaica in 2006 or Durban vs India in 2010.

My wife would tomorrow but in truth, I couldn't. I would miss my parents, friends and this country too much. The furthest I will go, would be the south coast. I do love the sea.

Jamaica is a venue with great allure. But the indifference of the Caribbean public for its team has taken a bit of the shine off their grounds in recent years. When England under Gooch won at Sabina Park 1990, it seemed the last word in improbable heroics, and the ultimate place to prove yourself as a cricketer. I think the WI ground have lost a bit of their romance since then. I still resent the WICB hiking up prices for England fans in 2004.
