Who is England's most exciting young batsman?

Postby Alviro Patterson » Sat Jun 08, 2013 12:59 pm

Shamelessly nicked poll from the ICC, only right this is on CMS.

England's next generation of batting seems to be one creating excitement, but my question to you is who is England's most exciting young batsman?
"Stats are there to be broken" Dominic Cork
"They took all our players away, banned our captain and we still came away with a ten-wicket victory" Jason Gillespie
"You won't get anywhere slouching about half out of bed" Geoffrey Boycott

If he was playing for Yorkshire he'd be in the England squad ahead of Bairstow, that kid is the next Anthony McGrath,

Definitely Joe Root. He'll be a huge hit in Australia. I can see the headlines on the back page of the Herald-Sun when his batting destroys the Oz bowlers; "Joe Roots Oz bowlers." Media Watch on the ABC will naturally be all over it. Can't wait!
"Hey, doll. Could you scare up another round for our table over here? And tell the cook this is low grade dog food. I've had better food at the ballgame, you know? This steak still has marks from where the jockey was hitting it." Al Czervik, aka Rodney Dangerfield in "Caddyshack" (1980)

Team(s) Supported: Aussie cricket team, Liverpool FC (it's a long story) and the mighty blue boys in the AFL. I like watching good teams performing well. An advid fan of the Olympic Games. Looking forward to Rio in 2016 & Tokyo in 2020!
