When will Michael Clarke retire?

It has been suggested in the Oz media that Michael Clarke could retire in the next 12 months, plunging Australian cricket further into crisis.

2017/18 Ashes. It will be in Australia and he'll be 36 then.

There appears to be a school of thought in Oz that when Pup does call it a day, that it will be Steve Smith who inherits the arm band. Depending om how much longer Clarke's back holds out, that could happen. Steve Smith has definitely improved as a batsman. I'd like to see him register some big hundreds before the media ruin him. A big score at Old Trafford today would be handy.

I reckon he'll retire when he scores 10 doubles and 5 triples
so next year probably
