The only time Bresnan could be seen as fourth seamer was whilst he carried his elbow injury. Brenan was equal to Anderson and Tremlett in his contribution at Melbourne and Sidney and against India outstanding. I don't see pace bowlers as first, second and third seamers but as a bowling unit where each offers up a different challenge to batsmen. Bresnan does that admirably and deserves a better judgement than you have presented.
