England usually benefit from shortened games, because they can't negotiate the middle overs. Certainly, England have done well in shortened games in recent times against India.

It's not just that game anyway. They were the dominant team in that competition.

I think Aussies will not make the next round as they are very much dependent on other results.

9 predictions gone wrong :?:
Test FL's - 8 , ODI and Tests Combo FL's - 1, ODI World Cup - 1, ODI FL's - 7, ODI and T20i combo FL's - 1 ,
T20 Franchisee FL's - 7, T20i Cup FL's- 1, T20 FL's- 5 , 50 Overs Domestic FL's - 1, 40 Overs Domestic FL's- 1

I went India. Still in it.

I did think the Aussies would go further than they look like doing though.

wow - this many of us really thought Aus would win it in BD???

I guess, to be fair no MJ may hvae had an impact ... would have been interesting to see if he could really make an impact in BD. Also, Maxwell didn't seem to bowl enough, even Smith may have been worth a go

In my defence, he was easily their best player.
