For the first test of the summer, if you wanted a spinner in your side, who would you pick?

I personally would give Borthwick a run..i know his bowling isn't finished yet, but he played the last test, didn't disgrace himself, he's the man in posession of the shirt, give him a chance..+ If stokes is playing then you don't need 4 frontline seamers, Stokes would be 4th seamer..

I was going to say Monty, who is the best of a bad bunch, but time to move on.

Borthwick probably. Can bat, and has a bit of arrogance about him.

He'll be in Arthur's 'knee jerk' team then.

AP Craddock, rarely plays for Essex...and he's nowhere near ready for england duty.

I wouldn't pick a spinner, but if I had to choose I'd go Monty. Cupboard is bare...

Monty. Anyone else looks like a knee jerk selection.

I don't think Borthwick is good enough to play as a front line batter who bowls and his bowling has become his back up. I've only seen Kerrigan when he played for England, and if that's how he bowls, I can't see him having an international future, even if he lands it in the right place. Tredwell has been dropped by Kent, and Briggs can't get picked by Hants. If Moeen plays, he has to be able to get into the side as a batter otherwise he's a bits and pieces selection...

Haven't seen Rayner for a long time.

We'll probably go in with an all pace attack in more games.

All roads leading to Monty complete with look-alike to do his fielding.

If Monty shows form, its his all day long. If he cant show form then pick Kerrigan, he is a better bowling prospect than Borthwick.

For me, Borthwick has "Ian Salisbury" written all over him.
