Athers is boring, and has a way too high opinion of himself. I also find his ideas on the game way behind the times, and often quite plain and not very inventive... he tries to make up for it in his articles by using clever language, when in essence he would even be a tolerable writer if he used simpler words.

Nasser for me is a much more intelligent, cricket savvy commentator, and I like his very dark and dry sense of humour

Give me Nick Knight rather than Dominic Cork any day of the week, he gabbles on incessantly and often stupidly.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Charles Colville laying into Nick Knight, when he showed sympathy to Notts because they have toiled for 170 overs and at the back end of the season. Then Colville turned around and said Fletcher bowled 294 overs this season, compared to Brooks who bowled 472, Patterson 349, Bresnan 316 and Rashid 301.

can't stand Cork! He always has to talk about himself and his own career.
