I would have thought so. Probably Woakes and Finn are the likeliest other possibilities.

Onions seems to be waning, in spite of his ghost haunting the winter Ashes tour. Bresnan isn't really standing out in Yorkshire's attack. Plunkett's feels a bit fanciful. Mills is an injured long shot.

Broad may not make it. More difficult to say who will take his place.

There are better than him, Will Gidman and Roland-Jones spring to mind.

Shouldn't be picked for a test based on his ODI form, ala Morgan.

Fine prospect but still work in progress. Another being hyped up but too early.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

With Swann retired and Bresnan at a lowish ebb, I wonder if they'll look at someone who can at least bat a bit. They won't want to add another specialist to Monty/Kerrigan (if selected) and Anderson.

Will Gidman, averages 35 with the bat and under 21 with the ball.

If he played for a 'popular' county he'd be a dead cert.

He's not going to be picked is he. He'd have figured for the Lions if he was close.

If Foster plays, the batting of the other seamer becomes more of a factor.

Stokes
Foster
Broad
Bowler who doesn't bat
Anderson
Panesar/Kerrigan

Can't see it. I suppose they could do without a spinner. But I hope not.

He did. Not as much as Taylor and Woakes.

He's played quite a few games. Maybe not fc, but I think he went on that tour Stokes was sent back from. Got a feeling he played a limited overs game last summer. It shows he's in the thoughts of the selectors. Development squads are an indicator too. You can come from leftfield. But it's rare.
