Woakes or Stokes?

Postby andy » Mon Sep 08, 2014 9:25 pm

Clearly the selectors can't decide between Chris Woakes and Ben Stokes for the england side, in all formats, and most likely there can only be one in the side...who would you guys have Stokes or Woakes?...

I personally would have Stokes..

I'll go with Woakes at the moment. More consistent with bat and ball.

Stokes is a bit hit and miss (mainly miss).

Stokes clearly the better bowler at Test level. Won't have either in limited overs cricket but if forced to pick one, probably Woakes as he seems to be improving bowling at the death.

I'm biased but think Stokes is the better long term bet, inconsistent right now but more likely imo to succeed with bat and ball against top class opposition.
