He'll be there until either he realises that he's hurting England or until Downton quits.

After the world cup, I reckon. He's a stubborn mule, but not that stubborn.

i don't think its anything to do with Cook. He's being told he is the foundation of English cricket, the new start, we can't survive without you.

There was a glimmer of hope after today's game but It looks like he'll keep it forever.

when hell freezes over
when he calls Strauss a cnut on TV
when he publicly tears a page out of a copy of the quran
when he employs Eileen Drury
when he suggests that people born with disabilities must have offended God in a previous life
when he suggests that Carbs didn't get picked because he was a typical lazy black b**tard
Take your pick, really
just don't expect it to be for cricketing reasons

I don't think there has been a more unpopular captain since the one who sank the Costa Concordia.

That Captain did get off his ship though, Cook is more of a Titanic man staying on to ensure it sinks.

I reckon Cook will get the flick when England fail to make it out of th group stage of the WC, after suffering humiliating defeats to Afghanistan and Scotland. And his replacement will resign after the third Test of next year's Ashes series, prompting the ECB to beg KP to come back to lead the side.

It's going to get to the stage where England fans will want to lose just so they can get rid of Cook.

What do you mean GOING to get.................... I've been there for months.
I would love to see all our batsmen (sans Cook) scoring pots of runs and our bowlers taking cheap wickets but losing so Cook cannot claim to be the new Mike Brearley. Unfortunately that's mathematically impossible.

I've been out most of the day.
Have I missed his resignation speech?
