Who will it be? :dunno
"Hey, doll. Could you scare up another round for our table over here? And tell the cook this is low grade dog food. I've had better food at the ballgame, you know? This steak still has marks from where the jockey was hitting it." Al Czervik, aka Rodney Dangerfield in "Caddyshack" (1980)

England will do worse, because they are playing more games.

Well, that's also possible.

But my guess is that it'll go the other way.

not me

easy kick off in the carib
doddle of a 2 tester against a one man team before the Aussie mugs come for their annual kicking in Anderson friendly conditions
so that's 10 matches..... cross off a couple for the weather in blighty.... cross off another for a disgraceful pitch leading to abandonment in WI and that's 7 wins out of 10 before the rather more tricky saffa tour. Think I read somewhere that England will play 17 tests in just over a year so I assume there'll be a 3 test series against a sub con side that we'd do well to draw, of course.

I reckon England will have 8 wins from 13 tests before they even get to SA. That has to be an improvement on last year, so must equal an improvement

of course, there may be an element of tongue in cheek in that, particularly given the incisive and inspiring captaincy skills of the iron man............. who will not be captain this time next year, but who I hope will still be a test opener

England tour UAE before SA.

My guess, England

Win 2-0 in WI
Lose 3-1 in the Ashes
Lose 3-0 in UAE
Lose 3-1 in SA,

So few draws these days.

But it's the tenth anniversary of Flintoff's Ashes, so I'm going to live in the past. In my year, England will win in SA, beat Bangladesh and one of the greatest Australian sides ever, before getting blown away by Shoaib Akhtar, actually in Pakistan.
I always say that everybody's right.

Beer will be £2.50 a pint. A public sector pension will be worth having. Your house will have doubled in value in the last six months. And England will be crap at football.

I'm planning a countdown to the 2005 Ashes after new year. I did have links to the old BBC site, and was going to splice in a few actual posts from back then. But my computer crashed and I lost them. I don't think it's otherwise possible to access 606, as i think it was then.

UAE?

that'll be okay. Pakistan will have no spinners left by then, and will be forced to beg the ball biter to come out of retirement.............again!

2-0 England. 1 NR due to a slow moving depression following an occluded front............... making the sand too damp to play on

Oh wait.............

that'll be Antigua

sorry........... my mistake

England are playing three in WI, so they could win all three there.

They refused to play anywhere that isn't a resort.

Maybe the Aussies should refuse to play anywhere over here that doesn't have a medieval castle.

In the countdown to the 05 Ashes Fred will be massive. But can't be called Fredalo because that hasn't happened yet.

With Moores as inspirational and effective a coach as Cook is as Captain I can't see many victories unless the opposition play badly.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.
