England have only won one series out of three this year. They have a three test tour of the UAE to come.

Good point Splinters. But it was against the number two ranked team.

TBH England would have to lose all the test and all against SA.
Even then think Australia or some other team will take the crown.

Australia? World Cup winners, beat India at home, West Indies away. In fact this is the first series they've lost.

TBH Losing the Ashes.
Could probably lose or Draw to ban and then possibly a lost to NZ.

would be the biggest decline if you compare it to 2014.

Think the crown would be between them and South Africa.

Too early right now to be definite though lots of things can change between now and then.

Saying that if Sri lanka lose to India, Sri lanka would join the list as well.

Australia haven't played either of those two series yet. South Africa barely play international cricket and it would be a trifle unfair to count their draw against Bangladesh seeing as they barely played 3 days cricket.

England could go the year only winning a single series out of five.

I was thinking of South Africa future games.
Series against India and England coming up.
Plus their can only really go down.

If I was the bookies I will be offering Australia has favourites right now with Sri lanka/SA 2nd or 3rd favourites.

If you had put that to the supporters at the start of the year (knowing which was the series to win - and how conclusively), I imagine most would take that.

there bowling is already terrible and it appears there batting is going to equal it

can see them vying with the windies as the worst proper team in international cricket

No way on earth we'll lose to NZ at home particularly at the venues we are playing. The pace and bounce at Brisbane and Perth should be too much for the Kiwis. There is no Hobart this time around. Bangladesh will be tricky, I agree. Still don't see us losing, maybe a draw at worst (considering the weather).

I think England will do well in SA, will struggle in the UAE though.
