Who will be top wicket taker at the world cup?

Postby Arthur Crabtree » Sat Jan 17, 2015 8:18 pm

Difficult to know what is the best way to judge a bowler, by wickets or economy? I've gone for wickets (economy will be Tahir by the way). These are the ten best averaging bowlers in ODIs last year with 20+ wickets. And then five wild cards because too many big names are missing (Mitch1, Hazlewood, Starc...)

Excluding

Bravo again! Plus Henry, McLaren, who also haven't been picked
Shakib, because he won't get past the first phase
I always say that everybody's right.

I've provisionally gone Malinga, because the sees the closing overs as an opportunity rather than a burden. But maybe better to go for someone who is a more likely finalist.

Hard to look past Mitchell Starc at the moment, who is on form with the ball.

Mitch2 is bowling like a demon. But he does seem to mysteriously lose his threat at times.

If SA are under threat, Steyn will go into crazy mode to keep them in it. He won't choke.

All eyes will be on SA ball prepping.

Mendis isn't even in the squad!

I'm going with Starc.

Bother. I did weed out a lot of non selections. I should have picked candidates without recourse to the stats.

yeah you should have either used the bookies or your own head to pick the players to vote with.
Bookies are generally always close, I could win the premier league table prediction game just by using the bookies outright odds at the beginning of the year.

Good idea. I had quite a remarkable temperature/fever over the weekend, I'll blame my faulty poll on that.
