Broad and Anderson are about as expensive as each other in the competition, yet Broad is getting a lot more criticism.

iirc Jimmy struggled in last WC too and he was actually dropped during the WC after he flopped.

No, one of them was in the ODIs in Australia just before the WC. Anderson has three of England's six most expensive ODI stats, though playing in a period when totals are up. And these records will be rewritten over the next few years.
