Should Michael Clarke step back and retire from odi's after the world cup, and let Steve Smith take this side forward?

IMO he should retire from odi's after the world cup, to focus purely on test cricket, as the side need his runs more in tests than they do in odi's, also there's a lot of batsman waiting in the wings, more dynamic, and deserve a chance in that middle order..

I would say given the recent injury problems its close to a certainty

if it hadn't been for a home World Cup he would probably have given up ODIs before now

He should have retired before the WC but I'd be surprised if he carries on.

If he's fit enough, he should play. There's only a need for him to move on if he is in and out of the team, as he is currently. Even then, he could be useful in the case of (irony alert) injury.
