Pick those squad members who should form part of England's ODI future, at least in the short term.

Picked mine.
those who I've disacrded aren't necessarily bad players...just not right for us in ODIs planning ahead.

Moeen, Hales, Taylor, Root, Morgan, Buttler
Bowling becomes more of a conundrum in creating a starting xi
Woakes, Jordan, Finn

Clarkson
He could be employed to deflect all media attention away from the players and coaches. He would be like Mourinho taking all the attention onto himself leaving the playing staff free to just get on with stuff.
Have you just been battered to within an inch of your life by NZ?
Send out Clarkson and get him to refuse to answer a journo's question because she's a girl and her tits aren't big enough to warrant an answer
Have you just lost to Bangladesh?
Send out Clarkson and get him to drop the 'N' word into his answer to every question
struggled to beat an associate side?
Send out Clarkson with an H982FLK licence plate tied around his neck and get him to punch a journo for asking a data related question

He's looking for a job.
He'd probably quieten down controversies more effectively than Downton.

You have to look at India to understand that the bowling doesnt matter as much as the batting. We never had a great bowling unit, very few times a good bowling unit and mostly poor bowlers. In modern ODIs you should have the batting power to outscore your opposition.
That is why someone like KP is very important.
Eng could do well by sticking with Hales, Taylor, Root, Buttler and find batsmen who can score consistently at a good rate. Cook, Bell, Ballance type batsmen are never the answer. Play T20's seriously and you can be good in ODI's

Morgan should survive the cull, apparently. At least according to him
"My experience as captain has made me a better player and better person and I've learnt a lot about the team and my own performance,"
I'm glad he's a better player now, except that that means he must have been *modded* terrible before, which begs the question as to why, if he was that bad, he was ever selected in the first place.
Of course, he might just be talking bollox

He seems to have forgotten he doesn't get in the side on merit.
