February ODI Player of the Month

Quinton de Kock - South Africa

Scored 326 runs against England at an average of 65.2. His top score was 138. He also got three stumpings as a wicketkeeper.

Ahmed Faiz - Malaysia

Malaysia only play one ODI International a year - and in that one and only ODI Faiz got 111*.

Dean Foxcroft - South Africa Under 19s

Only one innings for the young South African this month but he got 117* vs New Zealand Under 19s.

Heather Knight - England Women

The England all-rounder helped her team to win the ODI series vs South Africa with both bat and ball. She got 154 runs over three innings at an average of 51.3 and a top score of 67. In the same match she got her best bowling figures of 2/36. With the ball she claimed 6 wickets for the loss of 141 runs; an economy of 23.5.

Hassan Moshin - Pakistan Under 19s

The all-rounder scored 261 runs for his team in 4 innings and also chipped in with 7 wickets for 119 runs in an economy of 17. His best performance in the tournament was 117 and 4/42 vs Nepal Under 19s.


Richard Ngarava - Zimbabwe Under 19s

Got 5 wickets for the loss of only 87 runs. An economy of 17.4. His best figures for the month were 4/10 vs South Africa Under 19s.

Risbah Pant - India Under 19s

Scored 204 runs at an average of 51 in his team's passage to the Under 19s World Cup Final. His best performance was 111 vs Namibia Under 19s. He also contributed three catches as a wicketkeeper.

Shamar Springer - West Indies Under 19s

Scored 163 runs in his teams successful Under 19s World Cup campaign at an average of 40.75. Also got 6 wickets for the loss of 119 runs - an economy of 19.8. His best match figures were 62 and 2/36 against Bangladesh Under 19s.

Harry Tector - Ireland Under 19s

Tector belied his team's low ranking in the Under 19s World Cup with a great performance of 4/28 vs Scotland Under 19s and tight performances in his other matches. He ended the month on an economy of 18.

Michael Van Lingen - Namibia Under 19s

Scored 71 across three innings with his best performance being 58 v Nepal Under 19s - the same match where he got figures of 4/24 with the ball. Overall he averaged 23.7 with the bat and 19.5 with the ball.

why do you call economy average.
that is so confusing.
Also might be better if you did 2 months or 3 months at a time awards.
every month the sample size is too small to make much out of this,

I'm biased so I'll say Ahmad Faiz. He scored 55, 111* and 109* in the recent series.

Alex Hales was the first batter to score a fifty in each of the innings of a 5 match series. Gets my vote.
