Unlike the other ones I would like to nominate just one person for T20 player of the month....and it is somewhat of a left field choice.

Amjad Javed of the UAE.

The first reason why I nominate him is for sheer endurance. The 35 year old UAE captain has played 10 T20 games this month with his team competing more than any other in February oftentimes against teams way above their league.

His contributions with bat and ball have been impressed.

His team have gained credit for their performances with the ball this month and he has been at the very forefront of this. He has claimed 18 wickets this month for the loss of 239 runs. An economy of just 13.3! That is low by any rate let alone T20. His best figures were3/25 vs Sri Lanka.

Javed bats at number 7 so is clearly not seen as a batsman but he has done bits with the bat this month too. He has scored 159 runs at an average of 17.6 - top scoring with 76 vs Scotland.

Not a particularly well known choice but a talismanic figure slogging his guts out.

New Zealand's Leigh Kasperek for me - taking 4/7 and 3/26 in her T20 matches against Australia with her cheeky spin and flight bamboozling the batsmen.

Another reason why Amjad Javedis a total legend.

He worked for the Emirates Airlines as well as captaining an international cricket team and came straight off an overnight shift to play a T20 game vs Lancashire today.
