June T20 Cricketer of the Month

T20
Mainly T20 Blast players to select from this month with very few T20is to choose from in June.

Matt Coles (Kent)
Whilst it hasn’t been an all-round good month for the Kent bowler due to his off field antics, he did put in some decent spells at the start of June. In what has been a very T20 heavy month for Kent, Coles bagged 5 wickets in five games, at an average of 26.2. He also did himself proud with the bat in his final game against Glamorgan getting 31.

Paul Coughlin (Durham)
The first of a line of young bowlers that make it on to the list. There were 8 wickets for the young Mackem at an average of 12.3. His best figures came against Northamptonshire where he got 5/42.

Tymal Mills (Sussex)
The short form specialist forced his way into England selection this month with some stunning fast bowling that yielded great figures. He has claimed 7 wickets in 5 matches at an average of 19.7. His best figures came against Kent where he got 3/15.

Jamie Overton (Somerset)
The young England hopeful did himself no harm of a call-up with nine wickets in six games, averaging 19.8. His best figures were 4/22 against Hampshire. His economy has been very low, averaging 29.7 runs shipped per game.

Stephen Parry (Lancashire)
In Lancashire’s 4 T20 games this month, Parry has claimed 8 wickets at an average of 11. His economy has been very low, twice shopping only 13 runs. His best figures were 5/13 against Worcestershire.

Samit Patel (Nottinghamshire)
The evergreen spin bowler has always thrived on the shorter forms of the game, but has done well this month. In his four games this month he got 6 wickets, averaging 16.7. His best figures were 3/14 vs Durham, where he also picked up 15 with the bat.

Jason Roy (Surrey)
A busy month for Jason Roy started with some strong performances for Surrey, where he scored 213 runs in five games. His average was 42.6. Most notable was his 109 against Sussex.

Dominic Sibley (Kent)
Another Kent bowler on the list. He’s only had a short spell in the Kent team but in that time he debuted with a score of 67 and figures of 2/33. He followed this up the next day with an unbeaten 74 v Somerset.

Barinder Sran (India)
Not a world of T20is taking place in June, however in India’s two games against Zimbabwe Sran played with great skill. He claimed 6 wickets for the loss of 41 runs across the two games. His best figures were 4/10 in India’s 10 wicket win over Zimbabwe.

Not a close observer of T20, but Malan and K Cadmore have caught my eye so far.

Malan was brilliant. Don't think Kohler-Cadmore has done anything since his hundred in the opening match in May.

Wondered if that was in May but guessed that the competition didn't start that early.

Bumrah? Good series v Zimbabwe.
