July T20 Player of the Month

I have decided to group all T20 games together so this award goes to the best participant of all T20 games, irregardless of whether they are domestic or international.

To those that have a casual acquaintance of cricket the name Liam Dawson would not have come trippingly off the tongue before the start of this month however, for those of us in the know, the young English bowler has been the most consistent performer in a stuttering Hampshire bowling attack for some time now. July was really the young man's month though. It started with his first T20i game against Sri Lanka wherein he got 3-27 against Sri Lanka. From there he has had a number of stand out performances for Hampshire in the T20 Blast. The two most notable are his 4/23 coupled with a 73* with the bat against Glamorgan and, more recently, 5/17 with 25* on Friday v Somerset.

His figures for July are 150 runs across five innings with the bat - an average of 30 - and 15 wickets at an average of 10.1.

Anyone more deserving than Dawson in your eyes?

Yorkshire spinners have been good. And Tim in 20 and 50 over.
I always say that everybody's right.
