Mennie or Siddle

Postby The Professor » Fri Oct 28, 2016 11:33 am

Both Joe Mennie and Peter Siddle are in the Test squad for the series against South Africa but only one will play. Who's your money on?

Sid. Constantly seems to be proving himself.

Pretty easy one. Proper bowler over pseudo allrounder. Would've preferred Bird over both though.

Siddle is a hugely under valued bowler both by cricket Australia and by fans it seems.

Siddle if fully back from his injury. Reports are he bowled well against Tasmania.

Should the selection be Bird vs Mennie though.

Bird isn't in contention due to Australia's concern that their lower orders batting strength is weak.

Lower runs are handy, but maybe having better batters would solve the problem.....
