Nevil (sadly starting to lose even more letters off the end of his name for reasons that will only become clear in the next story arc) has a broken jaw, so I guess would have been out of the series anyway.
Dangerous game.

Guess it makes Maxwell a certain starter. Perhaps when they want a third seamer they will drop a spin bowler to accomidate? Hopefully we wont see Agar batting at 7 with wade moved to 6
sorry for repeating myself here but does Smith's reluctance to use Maxwell as a bowler in the ODIs not suggest they dont consider his bowling to be a strength ?
different conditions i know but Head has been used to bowl quite a few overs
There might well be something in that . Maxwell did not make many friends with his outburst at the start of the summer. Head seems to keep it tight, which would be useful in India.

wasn't sure where to post this as there is no thread for the tour of india yet but seen a rumour that Australia have brought in Monty as a bowling consultant for the India tour

Yeah it's true on BBC sport, good to see, hopefully he can get himself back on track
