In the semis I'm going for

Aus v India
SA v NZ

and Australia to beat South Africa in the final. I'm looking at the attacks who are most likely to retain some control in the field and think these possible finalists are more likely to do that.

Though I wouldn't be amazed if England made the semis.

Dunno. If there's a series of shirt fronts (which there will be) and blue skies (ok, that won't happen) the bowlers will go the distance.

If the commentariat gets its way, England's pace attack will be Jordan, Broad and Bresnan by next summer.

We have a leader!

I remember last time the CT was in England, England were big favourites. They even seemed to think they were favourites themselves. I'll see if I can dig the squad up and see what it looks like now.

Ravi 3-20 with the ball. Just failed to take England over the line with the bat.

Surely Bairstow ahead of Duckett ?

I'm not picking a winner until I see the squads.

Not sure Bairstow is a goer as a limited overs player. Though England still pick him for squads, he's been on the periphery for five years. His form isn't good over the past 12 months, with a decent eleven games, averaging 32 but with a SR under 80 and only two fifties. He has only three fifties in 23 ODIs overall and a 32 average. Maybe he should be in, but his record doesn't demand it.

His record over the past year and two years and career is far worse than Morgan's, who people are saying is only in because he's captain and should be dropped.
