Now im not for one minute saying yes defo, but just asking the question....even if it's only t20's?

He has rested himself from t20's a few tomes in past 12 months or so, to give buttler the experience of captaining etc, and let's be honest he hasn't, made a run of scores in either 50 over t20 cricket for some time now...just think it's time to maybe question whether he is still needed in the side?

I thought we decided to move on from Morgs about a couple of years ago, and then he scored a lot of runs?

Averages 40 since the beginning of 2017 in ODIs, with 3 tons. SR is 93. That's good.

In T20i, average 23, at a SR of 129. Only one fifty. It's hard to tell who's doing well in T20is because they are so rarely played.

He's doing better than Buttler in both formats though.

Reckon he continues until the next WC ...which isn't that long anyway. Makes no real sense to split t20 from the fifty over thing so I think that is when the situation will be reassessed.

His batting has been a bit inconsistent recently but I think he does enough to keep his spot on merit - and he seems to get the best out of his troops so I'm happy to see him carry on.

I don't really understand the idea that Morgan is somehow not qualified to continue to lead the team, he may be in a bit of poor form at present but he scored 3 tons last year from memory. It seems as if he's one of those players that any short term slump in form is instantly seized upon. The only logical replacement to him as captain is Buttler, who he is outperformed over the last year.
