I remembered it wrongly, England lost 1-0, but Cook took 11 wickets in Karachi. Pakistan had Abdul Qadir though.

Cant even begin to understand why someone would consider Croft. He doesnt even have a key innings in 50 matches you could give him, his best bowling was 3/52..... so its not like he was rubbish and occasionally won you matches alone.

Don’t think he got the yips? Saw him bowling well past retirement and could still do exactly what he wanted with the ball.
Unless he recovered of course.

I think the "yips" can apply to those that crumble completely under pressure and never recover, but some people have. Just seems to be a total loss of nerves, sometimes it destroys a career, other times it doesnt.
