Should Warner, smith and Bancroft be allowed to return to the OZ side after their ban is over?

Yes, of course. I think you'd have to break the law to get a lifetime ban.

Yes, but they shouldn't walk back in. They should be eligible for selection, and return to the side if it is clear that they form part of the best XI, both in terms of playing skill and attitude.

That won't happen. Bancroft shouldn't get in the team and Renshaw should. True opening batsman. Don't know what Langer has against him.

Steven Smith will be back in OZ squad, no matter which series it is and which condition.

Warner is also likely to make squad if it's a home series, because he has a impressive record at home.

Cameron might have to wait until he plays and excels in one or two domestic tournaments.

have to be available for selection once they've served their time. Only Smith will 'walk' back into the side immediately, IMO

I also note that Smith and Warner have both been retained by their IPL franchises and Bancroft has a season long gig with Durham lined up

I'd be amazed (and slightly appalled,if I'm honest) if wee Davey isn't back in time for the World cup, but the test side may take a little longer

Not far away now, and it seems likely that they will both return, Finch seems to have run out of chances, and Shaun marsh will most likely make way for smith

The punishment has been served, it was harsh and unprecedented, if these guys prove they deserve recalls with runs in lower structures of the game, they should be treated like any other person.

The only restriction Id place is, none should ever be involved with the captaincy/leadership of the team again.

I can see Smith getting the captaincy back as soon as he is allowed.....it would be so wrong, but i can see it happening

I don't even think they'll make them prove their form in the lower structures. By the time they're back, the world cup will be two months away, and the Australian domestic season will be over. There won't be any opportunity for them to prove anything before the world cup or the Ashes, apart from the warm-up games for those series.

Can you really imagine Australian fronting up in England without Smith and Warner given the current state of their batting, one of their worst ODI years ever, and an almost certain home test series loss? I can't. They'll walk back in to the Ashes and World Cup squads. England can only hope that they're rusty, especially in the long form of the game, but even if they are, they'll probably still be better than what's currently out there.

This is how I see it too

And given how awful the aussie batsmen around are both will walk straight back into the side

I hope this has been a humbling experience for them both, as they came across as two pretty arrogant unlikable individuals before this happened

Warner has already had that put into his punishment from CA.

I am not sure, but did Smith get a 2 year ban on that too??

I agree with your point.

I think all of them should have to prove themselves in lower class cricket first - but Smith will probably be on the plane to England.
