So instead of getting a broken arm, he scored a broken rib. The England team management should have come clean on that, and replaced him in the squad. If this is an example of how the Poms operated during the Ashes, it isn't any wonder that they had their @r$e$ handed to them on a plate.

I'm inclined to believe that my testicles are more believable than that Mirror story.

Afghanistan has beaten Australia in the U19's World Cup.

Good for the Afghanis, but bad for Aus on two fronts - not only an embarrassing and awkward loss, but I also read that Australia's coach is Graeme Hick.

I stumbled across this little gam, which was obviously filmed a couple of years ago. It examines a moment of Ashes history, trapped in time forever. This is Bumble a his best, talking about a moment that I'm guessing wasn't exactly hi favourite moment.

As this very round of Sheffield Shield is CA's big test of day/night first class cricket with the pink ball, you;d think that they would wait until evaluating the success or otherwise of this before committing to a test under the same conditions.

(or, I would've thought that you'd think they would do that)

Interesting interview with (former umpire) John Holder, particularly his comments about reporting ball tampering by England in 1991. That would be the 2-2 series. He feels Graham Gooch got him removed from the home Test umpire list after that. Certainly he didn't umpire for a while. Critical of Bob Willis' commentary.
I always say that everybody's right.

I guessed Root & Harris before it was announced. I thought Charlotte Edwards had already been selected.

Edwards hasn't been, Claire Taylor has been.
