The enigma that is Kevin Pietersen

What's buzzing in the world of cricket....

Harmless banter?! Why did he not say this when they asked him, why has he not talked about them after being dropped? If he is innocent, then that makes him even more pigheaded and stupid.

The South Africans are using this as an opportunity to stir things up for ECB/Strauss/Flower. I simply cannot believe how naive some of the posters on here are, sorry but it's frustrating saying the same things over and over.

There's a reason why vociferous outside twits like piers Morgan are defending Pietersen (we all know how good a player he is), and anyone who's actually connected with the team and follow them around the world or can actually read the situation between the lines agree that the ECB have made the correct call.
If the English language made any sense, a catastrophe would be an apostrophe with fur.

It is a reasonable question, sba, and one you would have thought may have given Pietersen’s supporters pause for thought. However, not so. We still have the drawing of parallels with other incidents (if not really parallels) and the unfounded vitriol directed at the ECB. It's all very amusing, but I'd like to see a bit more variety now, even if equally ridiculous.

I would expect that someone who has turned into a symbol of South African domestic failures, who has a mind blowing record vs South Africa in ODIs(averages over a run a ball 64 in nearly 20 matches), who has just knocked your attack around for fun in the last match, and who has previous history with your captian and management and unkind words exchanged before between the two parties.... would not garner much support from his opposition.

Graham Smith for instance would probably be the first to jump on KP's back if there was a hint of truth in how bad these texts were.... I dont understand why South Africa would protect KP, they have bad history together.

It looks like some of the posters have been a part of few of those dressing rooms to know what exactly was happening :D

By looking at KPs phone and viewing messages themselves, and since he didnt deny sending messages, he must of.

So why did the SA manager say that ECB haven't made an approach to see those messages? Do they have some detectives or cell phone hackers?

D/L; I am a fan of KP's batting and somewhat his fielding in his younger days as well. However, his difficulty to adjust with boards of 2 countries, 2 coaches, English team mates and team mates of two counties really worry me. Going by that, i think if he stays with IPL franchisee for over few years, he may have issues with them too. We will have to wait and see rather than speculating about the IPL franchisee though. :|

If they had seen it ECB wouldn't have said we will give him a chance until 2.30 PM to deny that he hasn't sent derogatory messages.
