He's just insinuating it again. For the second time in 24 hours.

err, no, not sure what points you're trying to score. Just this whole thing is hilarious from the outside. There's an embargo on the Bresnan presser.

I did think that it cut in part way through but there were questions regarding KP included in what I watched.

Not trying to score any points, just seeking clarification. Your post had echo's of Mandy Rice Davis and th Profumo affair.

It wasn't anything big anyway, just Bresnan backing the ECB 100% over dropping KP.

Fair enough, await Alex Hales' statement tomorrow...(was the first follower of the account, apparently)

Why would the ECB be uncomfortable about that being reported?

I think it's more The Sun wanting their "exclusive"

The media's involvement in this entire saga has been fairly worrying, if the ECB are selling off controversial content to the highest bidder then it's beyond troubling.

Interestingly, the ECB source in the Daily Mail said that tomorrow was the day that the ECB would be having another crack at the KP issue, coincidence?

Just watched the Bresnan interview and although one question (which was inaudable) was deflected by a hidden press officer I thought he handled it very well. I think it's unreaonable for journalist to try and drag England players in to this controversy.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Saint, I thought it was that Surrey decided not to select him!!!.

the Other reason for the rumour is that at the moment KP's contract with surrey has a rider in it such that if he loses his England Central contract he will also lose the contract at surrey as well as they cant afford his demands.

This may explain the sudden back track from KP, and the only other clubs he could go to would be essex or Middlesex and I dont think either of them could afford his salary request either.

@tmsproducer: Currently @bbc5live @StewieCricket talking about the @kevinpp24 issue. Alec reveals he understands that Kevin has apologised over texts
@tmsproducer: Also @StewieCricket says he understands Pietersen camp now waiting for ECB response to apology

@tmsproducer: And finally @StewieCricket reveals that @kevinpp24 wanted to play for @surreycricket v @Middlesex_CCC tomorrow but the ECB didn't allow him
