Excellent from Knight and Dean ... brought that back from the brink and ended up doing it almost comfortably. I confess I'd under rated Dean : she played really well in support of the ex-captain.

Do think Bangladesh blundered badly by taking Fahima off with three overs left : released pressure ; and by the time she came back on the horse had bolted.

England will be relieved to have dodged that banana skin

Big scare though.... it demonstrates to the other nations just how fragile England can be

goodness, what a lot of reprieves for Knight before she went on to win the match for England.

first the caught behind on 0 that caused total confusion between umpire and 3rd umpire
second the lbw decision on 8 overturned on appeal, just missing leg
third, caught at short extra cover on 13, the fielder was adjudged to not have enough of her hands under the ball

on another day a couple of those could have gone the other way

Australia in a spot of bother early on against Pakistan : 59/4 at drinks. They bat deep so plenty of scope to right this ; but even so not what we expected to see. Lesser teams having their moments , at least.

Blimey ! Now 60/5 as Gardner falls for just 1 run , like Sutherland. Spin working for the underdogs ...could we be looking at a boilover ?

First McGrath , then Wareham , failing to judge conditions and spooning balls for a couple of sharp catches.

Mooney the lone rock standing , 33 no : badly needs some support.

Pakistan fans getting excited : not that there are a lot of them in the ground

Mooney lifting Australia towards a defendable score... terrific knock , this , 72 now from 88 balls in a score of 146/8 , in the 42nd. Some handy (and vital !) late order support from Garth and now King.

Virtually single handedly has brought her team within sight of 200 ... 187/8 with two overs left.

Has been an unexpected struggle for the tournament favourites but I reckon they will have enough now to assure them of the win. Pakistan ran out of overs for their main spinners and it has cost them.

King playing freely now too with an excellent 38 from a number ten...brings up that 200 with an over left... and 2 more 6's in a grandstand finish to move to 50 !

What a recovery. 76/7 , 115/8 and now 221 - for 9 , as Mooney is caught from the final ball. That partnership has turned the game on its head...

Well we got the upset eventually : SA chasing down 252 to beat India. The same SA that couldn't pass 70 against England...

Might be a bit of up and down before we see who makes the knock outs. But that incredibly long Australian batting order still looks a tough obstacle for the rest to try and overcome.

Suzie bates is horrendously out of form it's quite hard to watch.....she was given out lbw for her 3rd duck in a row...was overturned on review...but akhter is all over her

NZ starting to take control....123-3 in the 34th over...halliday has gone past 50, devine still there...200+ should be too many for Bangladesh to chase
