A stretch too far, even for a knee jerk thread?

If the Hants fielders that can't hold a catch get called up to Sri Lanka, its a plausible option.

i wish rashid would move to a county that would allow him to bowl on some more spin friendly wickets, he has loads of talent just needs more confidence in his bowling

his record for a leggie playing for yorkshire is actually rather good, i for one would be happy with a number 6 who averaged 35 with the bat and 35 with the ball

in an ideal world he would bat 7 and matt prior would bat 6, lets hope prior can continue the form he showed by smashing a hundred in the first game of the season, god knows we need him

Rashid would probably play a couple of matches at Scarborough too. These matches tend to be on dry wickets taking a bit of turn towards the end of the season. Any road up, I doubt Headingley is significantly less spin-friendly than most other wickets.

As long as he keeps playing as he is, and as he did last season, I'd be quite happy for him to play for Yorkshire instead of England.

Prior at 6 in an ideal world? More like a surreal world.

Not really a knee jerk, but Trott hasn't laid down the marker he'd have been looking to this season.

50 for Bell.

50 for Morgan, Robson closing in on a ton. Taylor made his 7000th first class run in this match as well.

There have to be pretty fundamental concerns about him surely? Bell is into the nervous nineties and Morgan is going well too - numbers four and five potentially?

The sun is out, plenty of runs being scored today, so scores to be taken with a pinch of salt.

The only concern about Trott should be, is he going to score runs.

In test cricket, the same goes for Morgan. Perhaps the selectors have faith in the triumph of hope over expectation.

Having had the wireless on most of the day, there seems to be a decent level of support for Robson opening this summer.

looks like robson and taylor may well be playing versus sri lanka

still a few places up for grabs

amazing that we went into the ashes with a fairly settled top 7, now we only have 2 batsmen (bell and cook) who are guaranteed to be playing in the first test of the summer

Morgan's 86 was his highest score since 2011. Now a shoe in according to some on Twitter.
