Plenty of left arm spinners in county cricket. Particularly Liam Dawson and Danny Briggs

Counties attracting top class overseas players for the T20Blast is going to be tougher with a return of the 2 groups of 9 and 14 matches played in a 2 month period.

46,315 pounds per 20 overs match even considering that he has to play somewhere around max 19 possible matches if the team goes into finals.

Apart from KP no England players have been sold in the first attempt today.1 England player selected from 13 today. The only two England players i guess who have not come up in auction today are Azarullah and Crook because all uncapped players will be auctioned tomorrow only followed by second attempt to sell unsold capped players from today. And KP got 4 times his base price. Clearly shows how much he is valued in T20 cricket.

Pietersen and the IPL could have been made for each other.

Only KP sold. Bit of a shame. It might have been useful if Hales and other T20/ODI players, particularly the younger ones, had been selected.

I'm sure there will be worse players in the IPL than Ian Bell...

What about all those South Africans and Aussies that no one has heard of- apart from other South Africans and Aussies?

But, I'd rather have Hales or KP.

Yes, disappointing at least as far as T20 skills are concerned and valued in top T20 tournament. But maybe we will see Azhar Mahmood and Luke get picked tomorrow in second attempt.Restriction on salary cap is a consideration for some of England T20 players not getting sold in first attempt. The other issue is there are much better options for franchisees than the available England players at their base price. The only England player that many T20 tournaments will consider of much better quality than other available England or other team players is KP.I reckon he will be first choice selection even in Big Bash, Carribean T20 and also if BPL franchisees can afford to buy him for full season.Once again he has proved that he is in a class of his own in t20 format and how valued he is as compared to other English players.

Bell,Luke,Alex,Jade,Kieswetter,Azhar Mahmood,Ravi,Dimi,Samit,Rikki Clarke,Simon Jones were unsold. But they might get sold as they will get in the auction tomorrow for second attempt.

Steven Crook, Mohd. Azarullah will appear for auction tomorrow for the first time as they are uncapped players.

No wonder KP is very happy

Morning - so happy to be back with the Delhi family! Lovely start to the day..
