Except that Gale wasn't found guilty of racially absuing Ashwell Prince and has been dealt with accordingly.

Didn't he say "f*** off and go back to your home, you kolpak ******" or words to that affect???..... For which he skilfully avoided a charge of racism from the ECB by admitting a code violation that, to his advantage, does not differentiate between matters of general abusing language or racism unless he was to argue the toss and end in a tribunal?

So he took his two match ban (one of which was a friendly) as quickly as it was offered to him, instead of a more suiting punishment had a hearing occurred and he be found guilty.

Bottom line.... not sure Jason Gillespie can play any morality cards about picking a guy who texts his captain is a "*modded*, or whatever word you believe it equates to", when his current leader of his side uses utterly disgusting language like that towards a black South African on the field of play

Not quite, the charge of racism was collapsed because Ashwell Prince didn't consider Gale's comments to be racist.

Bottom line is, Gale's actions haven't caused friction between his team mates or employers.

It has probably already been commented on, but, how can someone not be trusted to play Test cricket while being trusted enough to act as an advisor to the one day side. If Strauss wanted to make himself a laughing stock on his first big issue he has done well.

You just haven't earned it yet KP,
You must suffer and cry for slightly longer...

I wonder if they made him wait outside for a couple of minutes.

KP has a right to feel upset.

The door may not have been completely open but it was ajar. Now it's been slammed shut.

It seems the stumbling block is some kind of spat with Cook.

I repeat what I said on Twitter. Even if someone hates KP, you have to feel sorry for him after reading his column.

I will be supporting New Zealand and Australia this summer. England and the ECB do not deserve the support after the way they have acted.

As he was playing for Surrey without pay, he won't be back there.

This is ridiculous. Why are England playing the Ashes this year then haha. "I have heard from two very good sources that results do not matter this summer anyway. The job description for the director of cricket job is focused on longer-term goals. But if Strauss has been told he does not have to win this summer then why should the players train and work hard? In essence, quite incredibly, they have all been given permission to lose the Ashes. I have never heard that before. It is not in my make-up and I know it is not in the make-up of the English public either. Especially for those who have paid a lot of money for tickets."
