average of 24 sr of 72 with one 50 in 14 games this year, he deserves to be dropped

how someone who bats down the order and quite often comes in during the last 15-20 overs can only have a sr of 72 is baffling

i am one of the people that thinks bopara's 108 ODIs is one hundred to many

His bowling has been pretty good though. Ali may take his place?

I agree. There isn't one good reason for Bops to be rested.

Hales was in the SL series. The changes are Bresnan, Bopara and Carberry out/Stokes, Moeen, Finn in.

wasn't hales just a late addition as cover when cook had an lnjury ?

Presumably Bell will make way for Hales with Ballance at 3?

yes Hales was a cover for Cook for one of the ODI games.

My hunch is that Moeen will replace Bopara in the top seven, and that England will play four pace bowlers, with Tredwell missing out. Root is the sixth bowler. Englanf only have to hide Moeen's overs rather than Tredwell and Bopara's.

Got a feeling England will rotate Bell and Cook at the top.
Cook plays 3 and bell 2.
But that does cause concern since Morgan would be captain for 2 games.

Wouldn't surprise me if Hales doesn't play the first 2 or 3 games and they still go with Cook-Bell.

Bell and Hales to rotate?

Stokes, Jordan, Gurney, Jimmy, as the four seamers?

Stokes probably wont get a game.

Yes, Hales was called up and not selected. Hard to see him get a game this time. Moores has said Cook is the WC captain. Bell can't be dropped.

Hales presumably will play in the T20, I guess this squad is for both formats.

Be surprised if that's a world cup winning side there.

Woakes instead? These two should be vying for that number 8 spot.
