Morgan was interviewed for the T20 captaincy.

These are 4-day games not one day games so are they grooming for a return to the test side as vice-captain when Strauss retires. It makes little sense when Taylor has captained for the last two years. Maybe it's because he's on a central contract.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I know they are four day games. But Morgan was chosen to captain the ODI side over other candidates. He's probably just considered the best pick out of the names they have selected to play. I doubt they picked the captain and then the team.

Agreed! Not sure why there is so much fuss over the Lions captain. It doesnt mean a jot as to who the captain is, with regards to the Test side. Bairstow was picked ahead of the Lions captain against the West Indies.

It also surprises me that Davies doesn't play considering he seems to still be the 2nd in line.

Re: captaincy. I think it is still and honour to captain the a side, regardless of whether is leads to promotion or not.

Was Botham yanked off air in the commentary today? I had the mute on because he was really being annoying, but I got that impression. And that it'd happened before.

Is Tony Cozier ok? He's not been commentating on the WI/NZ series.

One point separates the top four in ODIs. Aus/Ind/SA/Eng. Latter three all on the same points.

They're not actually.

ICC site has the wrong ratings at this time for some reason. CI has them as Aus 119, Ind 119, SA 118, Eng 118 which is correct. India are actually on 118.60 just 0.02 off Aus. Eng on 117.55.

All probably irrelevant as lots of ODIs drop off next week so they'll change again.
