Big negative on his record was his ODI career. Not just as a bat, but a captain. He and Moores sucked the hope out of them.

Poor captain generally. But one of the great England openers.

Meg Lanning, one of the greats of the modern women's game, announces her retirement

Definitely one of the greats. Huge respect for Lanning.

She has achieved everything, over and again. World cups galore, record winning streaks, record scores. Admittedly this was during a period of Australian dominance, but a lot of that is down to her leadership - and also her contribution to a dominant batting line-up.

I have no doubt she is going to be successful at whatever she moves onto once her domestic cricket career is over. She strikes me as a very considered and intelligent person.

best batter in womens cricket by a country mile at her peak. Pretty flawless record as a captain too. Australia were very lucky to have her
