Interestingly, Graves didn't feel the need to correct the presses, and KP's, interpretation of there being a way back if he scored runs before this kicked off in the last week.

Its only in the last week when it subsequently incriminated him that he felt relevant to clarify the widely reported inference of his meetings.

This smacks of more lies.

Reckon my scenario is probably what graves was trying to do.
Cook doesn't score runs/wins he is out and kp could come out.

That number is just the nearest milestone. These petitions allow for unlimited signatures.

Even if there's 1 million signatures it won't make a difference though.
