Just saw this! Thought they might persuade him to stay till after the T20 WC.

It is a shocking news. He just got back to back hundreds in Dubai and is still the no. 1 batsman in t/20 cricket.

Presumbly it's to concentrate on test cricket.

KP wanted to play in T20 WC and retire from ODIs . ECB rules though say you can't quit one without quitting the other.

Apparently, it's because of the increasing demands on his body. I'm surprised he still doesn't want to play T20I's.

That seems an odd rule. Then again this is the ECB we're talking about.

Just need him to quit test now and I'll be happy

Well I guess Surry will be laughing all the way to the bank, they made a rather speculative signing and it's just turned out they'll have him for most of the season.

wow , i am shocked by this , he had said very recently he wanted to play on til the next world cup in 2015

i know there has always been alot of speculation about him quitting ODIs during his bad run but he himself had always said the opposite

England have no chance of doing well in t/20 WC without KP.
