Creating a customised itinerary to watch the World Cup is kind of fun, involves a lot of flying though.

Games to take in (subject to securing tickets of course)

Mon Feb 16: 5th Match, Pool B - Ireland v West Indies, Saxton Oval, Nelson
Thu Feb 19: 8th Match, Pool B - Zimbabwe v TBC, Saxton Oval, Nelson
Fri Feb 20 (D/N): 9th Match, Pool A - New Zealand v England, Westpac Stadium, Wellington
Sat Feb 21: 10th Match, Pool B - Pakistan v West Indies, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
Mon Feb 23: 14th Match, Pool A - England v TBC, Hagley Oval, Christchurch
Thu Feb 26: 17th Match, Pool A - TBC v TBC, University Oval, Dunedin
Sat Feb 28: 21st Match, Pool A - New Zealand v Australia, Eden Park, Auckland
Sun Mar 1: 22nd Match, Pool A - England v Sri Lanka, Westpac Stadium, Wellington

Domestic transfers, whether these are available at this time and price in 12 months remains to be seen.
Wellington-Nelson flight $226NZD return.
8am-8.50am Wellington to Chrsistchurch sub £50 one way (cutting it fine for start of Pak v WI)
7.45am-1.45pm coach from Christchurch to Dunedin for $52NZD with New Zealand's equivalent of National Express
11am flight from Dunedin to Auckland sub £50 one way.
6am Sunday morning flight from Auckland to Wellington sub £50 one way.

If you have a shirt with a collar, 25 pounds for a guest pass and promise to be on your best behaviour, I can get you into the members.. although I'm not sure what the situation will be for guest passes for the final.

I'd love to go back to the MCG - the only Test/international ground I've ever been to.....why I haven't been to Lord's or the Oval is depressing and something I must put right....It's on the bucket list!

If Afghanistan can turn over Namibia in the next couple of days, they will almost certainly be the 14th team t the next WC, behind Scotland, the Netherlands and Ireland.

Only two qualify though. The other two qualify from a competition in NZ just before the WC. Of eight teams.

Ah yes they do. I forgot about that. I just hope that one of them is Afghanistan.

Not a bad game for Mohammad Nabi - 81* off 45 and 5/12.

Very tight at the top:

2. Netherlands 15 (12)
3. Scotland 15 (12)
4. UAE 14 (12)
5. Afghanistan 13 (11)

ICC have announced ticket prices for the World Cup

As little as $20 for adults and kids tickets are $5 across the board, superb value for money.
